About Us

Braniel Community Church (BCC) began as part of a vision to see more and more communities in our land impacted with the love of Jesus. Our main values are to invite people to hope, heal and belong.

Our first church leader, Susan McFarland, began to establish this new work in the Braniel Estate in 2014.  James Crockett, our current leader, took up the role in January 2020.

During our gathering on Sundays, we have a time of worship, prayer, a reading from the Bible and a talk to draw out what God says to us through it in our lives today. It’s a chance to catch up with others and encourage each other as followers and seekers after Jesus.  We value children and young people – they are very much a part of the service and we invite them to connect with God through the worship and teaching.

We meet every Sunday morning at 11.30am.  We seek to love God more and to spread His love and goodness across this City.  Our dream is to see this community and its people flourish as they live out the purpose and plans that God has over them.

We have a play area for little ones which still allows parents to see and hear all that is going on (… we don’t mind noise!)

We have an open door policy: everyone is welcome … that includes you!

Tea, coffee and treats are served before and after service.

Kids & Youth

Your kids would be very welcome to come along on Wednesday nights for fun and games!

Our kids club runs from 6.45pm to 7.30pm and is for P1 to P7 children.

And children and families are always welcome when we gather on Sundays!

Every young person matters to Jesus and we want to encourage you and your friends.

Everyone in secondary school is always more than welcome to our youth club on Wednesdays.

It runs from 7.45pm to 9.00pm – and you’d be more than welcome to join us on Sundays as well!

Safeguarding

We follow the Church of Ireland’s child safeguarding policy, Safeguarding Trust, which sets the standards for how we look after children and young people in all of our events and activities.

Leadership

Braniel Community Church is led by James Crockett, assisted by a committee from our membership. We’re a church planted through the Church of Ireland’s Diocese of Down and Dromore.
